Collection: Jake Matluck

Jake Matluck is the designer and jeweler behind his eponymous line, rooted in ancient goldsmithing techniques with an emphasis on hand-fabrication. Introduced to jewelry as a child through his mother, Jake’s earliest experiences bending copper wire and making silver granules sparked a lifelong fascination. That passion solidified in 2016 during his undergraduate studies, and later deepened through formal training at Jewelry Arts Inc., where he honed historic techniques using high-karat gold, now a hallmark of his work.

Founded in 2023, Matluck’s line draws on goldsmithing traditions from Greek, Etruscan, Roman, Celtic, Cypriot, and Indonesian cultures (900–200 BCE), reimagined through a modern lens. Jake hand-fabricates each piece in his New York City studio using his signature 22k yellow gold alloy, natural gemstones, and antique diamonds. Emphasizing materiality, origin, and process, his work resists mass production in favor of intimate, craft-driven artistry.
