Tembea is a Japanese bag brand that was founded in 2004. The brand's name means "wanderer" in Swahili and reflects their goal of making products that accompany people on exploratory journeys. The brand's bags are made from specially woven canvas that is treated with a paraffin coating to make it water repellent. Woven on machines that are 40–50 years old to ensure, the canvas is durable and of the highest quality.
